For Our Athletes
Return to Play with BSC
Traditionally, BSC holds team tryouts during the summer months, followed by registration, then team training. To begin the return to play, the BSC will be holding evaluations / tryouts for next season’s teams, with age groups beginning at different times over the next several weeks.
What does this mean for you? You will receive an email directly from the club with information about your team try-out date and a link to register for try-outs. Registration is mandatory so we can schedule your try-out time in order to maintain the 9:1 player-coach ratio as per the guidelines.
Once you are registered online the club will send you additional information regarding the protocols that will need to be followed as dictated by New York State and ENYYSA.
We are excited to get back on the field and our first concern is the safety of all involved. Please understand there will be many modifications and we will need the cooperation of everyone to make the return to the field as safe as possible.

Club Update as of 6.29.20
Soccer Families,
I wanted to let you know that we have good news regarding restarting our activities. We have received information from both New York State and Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA).
New York State has released the Sports and Recreation Guidelines as part of the Reopening New York Program, which permits a return to activity effective July 6th. ENYYSA also released their Return to Soccer Activity Guidelines, which implements the recommendations of the US Soccer Play On Initiative for a gradual approach for returning to play, also with a start date of July 6th.
The club is in the process of developing a program specific to our club using both documents, as well as referencing the CDC’s Considerations for Youth Sports. We will be sending out additional communications this week providing you with details regarding our operations during this time. We will also be providing you with information regarding our activities, including tryouts for U11 and older, which will begin soon after the start date of July 6th.
Please be assured that the BSC Return to Play Program will follow all required mandates from both New York State and the ENYYSA, providing as safe an environment as is possible. Future communications will have many details regarding our Return to Play Program, with many new policies and procedures which will have to be followed to ensure a safe return to play for both the Academy and Recreation programs. I would like to stress the BSC understands the decision to return to activity is a family decision, and we do not want anyone to feel pressured to resume participation until they are comfortable doing so.
It is exciting that we will soon have the opportunity to be able to be back on the field with the kids! Please keep a lookout for our next update!
Sincerely,
Scott Swere
